Privacy Policy
Last updated:
Zaptun is built so that we do not need your data. This policy explains what the app does and does not collect, in plain language.
1. Who we are
Zaptun ("the app", "we") is an IPTV media player for iOS published by an independent developer based in Türkiye. You can reach us at [email protected].
2. What we do not collect
Zaptun has no servers, no user accounts and no analytics. We do not collect, store or transmit:
- Your playlists, M3U URLs, Xtream Codes server addresses, usernames or passwords
- Your viewing history, favorites, groups or parental settings
- Device identifiers, IP addresses, location data or contacts
- Crash logs or usage statistics (unless you opt in to Apple's own sharing in iOS Settings, which goes to Apple, not to us)
3. Data stored on your device
Everything Zaptun needs — playlists, credentials, EPG cache, favorites, resume positions and settings — is stored locally in the app's sandbox on your iPhone or iPad. It is protected by your device passcode and iOS encryption. Deleting the app deletes all of this data. Zaptun does not use iCloud sync.
4. Network connections the app makes
Zaptun connects only to:
- The IPTV provider(s) you configure, to download playlists, EPG data, channel logos, posters and streams. Your provider can see your IP address and what you request, exactly as with any player. Their privacy practices are their own; we have no relationship with them.
- Apple (App Store / StoreKit) to process purchases and restore them.
- RevenueCat, a purchase-validation service, which receives an anonymous app-user identifier and your App Store receipt to confirm your subscription or lifetime purchase. RevenueCat does not receive your name, e-mail, playlists or viewing data. See revenuecat.com/privacy.
5. Permissions
Zaptun requests no permissions beyond network access. It does not access your camera, microphone, photos, contacts or location. Local network access is only used if you play a stream from a device on your own network.
6. Children
Zaptun is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from anyone. The built-in parental PIN helps restrict access to groups you choose, but content comes from your provider and is your responsibility.
7. Your rights
Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct, export or delete. Data on your device is under your control: delete the app to remove it. For purchase data, contact Apple or use the App Store's Report a Problem tools.
8. Changes
If we ever change how the app handles data, we will update this page and the date above, and describe the change in the App Store release notes.
